Article: Contextualizing young learners english lessons with cartoons: focus on gramar and vocabulary
The purpose of this study is to learn that cartoons have a lot of advantages in teaching language for young learners. The most significant effect is in their grammar and vocabulary skills of young learners. This research compare the performance between two groups. And in the beginning of this research both of the group show the just so so performance and at the end of the performance, they showed the unexpected performance. So in my opinion is a teacher must create a learning environment where students can understand a situation through audio visual. Cartoons provide the great way of contextualizing and recognition of language to children through audio visuals. Animated cartoons for me are one of many ways that can improve children skills such as grammar and vocabulary. Because we can see that cartoon fans are mostly young learners. So it is the best learning technique for children that addict to cartoon. They still get an element of play in learning that can increase their expertise especially grammar and vocabulary.
