The new initiative, One Million Arab Coders initiative was launched by the UAE's Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. One million people will attend free training to learn how to encode computer applications and software that have been programmed by United Arab Emirates, so the young Arabs in the Middle East have the skills to develop the digital economy in their countries, and they can participate in the global economy online, from home. 50 per cent of the Arab population is under 25 years old, and this project is part of their mission to spread hope in the region, create employment opportunities. As it's like a contest or race for the student who want to attend the free training, so the top ten students will receive $50,000, while the top student will win a $1 million prize.
