This story is about Buddhism. Buddhism comes from the
word Buddha. Buddhas are people who lived more than two thousand five hundred
years ago in India. Buddha died when he was eighty years old. during his long
life he went to many places and had many followers.
If people do not want goods, they are free. They
stop thinking about themselves. They stop thinking about the future and they
are good to others. This is the Buddha's teaching. Buddhism was not written
until two or three hundred years after his death.
A Buddhist follower is called
a Buddhist and some Buddhist men become monks. They cut all their hair and they
only wore a long piece of yellow cloth.
They can not ask for food but people stop it and give
them food. They spend their time praying and thinking and trying to get away
from the world.
Buddhism began in Asia but today has spread to
Western countries.
From this story I got new knowledge about what is Buddhism.
