4th Article : echnology-Enhanced-Gadgets in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language to Very Young Learners. Ideas on Implementation


The criteria used to design and spot meaningful uses of technology-enhanced gadgets is based on the criteria outlined by Ferres and Piscitelli in 2012. the criteria used as theoretical background for the design of activities mediated by technology-enhanced gadgets. The criteria defines six dimensions: languages; technology; interaction processes; production and dissemination processes; ideology and values, and aesthetic. Each dimension has its indicators and two different areas of work; production of messages and interaction with messages. The aim is to describe all the areas of knowledge and skills that empower individuals to produce and interact critically with media therefore developing media literacy.
