The present study investigated the relationship among critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and speaking abilities of Iranian
EFL learners.
EFL learners’ emotional intelligence tends to enhance their beliefs in their speaking abilities to organise and
execute the courses of action required for successful performance. Learners who are able to perceive, control, and
evaluate their emotions might be more capable in their speaking abilities.
