This story revolves around the life of a little girl named Anne. She is an orphan who was later adopted by brothers named Matthew and Marilla. Although at first they both did not expect girls to be treated but because Anne's very cheerful and talkative personality attracted Matthew's attention so the brothers would take care of her. In this story there are many sad parts of Anne's story and some plain behavior of a young girl named Anne. She is a very careless child, she often makes mistakes, but in fact she is very good and smart girl, she even always gets a champion in the class. She has a good friend named Diana. When she went to school she hated the transfer boy named Gilbert. But in the end they are friends because Gilbert has repeatedly helped Anne start from when Anne nearly drowned in the river to get a job as a teacher at Avonlea school.
I am very sad when reading the final part of this story because Matthew the caregiver Anne died, so Anne decided to quit school and teach at school with the help of Gilbert that I mentioned above. She wanted to return the favor to Marilla who had taken care of her from childhood until now she was almost an adult. Marilla also no longer has anything to make ends meet. She only had Anne so that Anne was the one who worked to earn money for both of them. I really like the character of Anne in this story, she is very sweet and virtuous noble character. I was hoping that someday he would marry Gilbert because Gilbert actually liked him but because Anne who once hated him was not aware of it.
