13TH - JANE EYRE – Charlotte Bronte

JANE EYRE – Charlotte Bronte

Jane Eyre's story begins from the time she was a 10-year-old boy. He is an orphan and lives with his foster parents, Mrs. Reed, along with his three children, Eliza, John, and Georgiana Reed. These three children, especially John the only son, were very happy to disturb and even torture Jane. Although this was done in front of Mrs. Reed, though, the old lady never blamed John, and seemed deaf-blind to her environmental condition. Jane who was aware of her position finally lost patience when one time John bothered her again. Jane revolts and causes her to get the sentence of confinement in the red room.
Apart from the red room, Jane is bracketed in the children's room and separated by her cousins. For three months he lived in solitude, only Bessie, who sometimes kindly invited him to speak. It was mid-January that he finally heard that he was going to a boarding school. Mr. Brocklehurst is a tall man who will take care of his education during Lowood's school. Upon arriving at this boarding school, the situation was very apprehensive, in terms of received education such as a 'waiter' class education, not an education where the rich get to school.

At this Institute Jane became acquainted with a girl older than her but she received many reprimands and even rattan lashes from her teacher, Miss Scatcherd. This girl named Helen Burns. He loves to read and daydream during lessons.
I really like how this story is spoken. Very neat and straightforward. Taken from the point of view of Jane Eyre herself where as if she was telling her life story. The story is grooved backwards.

The grammar of this book is pretty standard and I think this book is pretty solid. The advantages of this 164-year-old classic novel is the depiction of the story taken from Jane's point of view, the narrative is very personal, no-nonsense and very descriptive, and how we are confronted with Jane's brave, wise, independent, philanthropic, intelligent, and steadfast figure in principle to be a positive value.
