Rugby started in England and first played in New Zealand in the 1870s. New Zealand is renowned for its love of rugby games. There are 15 players on the rugby team and the object of the game is to get as many points as possible. Team members can kick, carry or throw the ball. For people who do not understand the game it can be very confusing. Rugby is played at all ages. Recently women and girls have started playing rugby as well.
