Not all children like to read, many consider reading is a boring thing but by reading we get a lot of knowledge. A study was conducted on 402 students (208 girls, 195 boys) grade 4 and 5 who attended 7 basic education schools in øzmir / Buca. The research was aimed to find out the relationship between reading comprehension strategy and daily use
free reading time. As a result, there is a significant relationship between reading comprehension and free time. Because when students read with the time specified, then they will be depressed, they will not be interested in reading because there is no comfort when reading. We know that reading is not only reading, but also we must understand the reading, draw conclusions, and combine with the background of our knowledge.
