The story is about Christmast's confusing gift of two people, they are Della and Jim. They have no money to buy a gift, but they try to get the gift by utilizing their own. Della had long, golden hair, then she sold her hair to a barber near her home. Then she bought a gold chain to beautify Jim's watch which is Jim's favorite accessories, it turns out Jim has sold his watch to buy gifts for Della. Afterwards, Jim bought a comb for Della's long hair, but Della no longer has long hair and no need it too much. And in the end, they are not angry at each other because of the incident. It was a very touching heart. They are just the same as not having enough money, but have incredible love power.
