"Online gaming may improve school test scores"

Maybe video games are not so bad. A study shows that teenagers who regularly play games increase their test scores. However, the use of social media lowers exam results. In the study, researchers analyzed the online activity of more than 12,000 15-year-olds around the world. It sees the math, the value of reading and their science. The study concluded that the skills associated with online gaming fit the needs of math, reading, and science.
Critics say the findings may not be relevant today because the game is now obsolete. An education expert says while the study should be headlines, this does not reflect the current online game. However, experts say children can learn useful skills to help their learning while playing the game. He said: Many games involve ... problem solving and goal setting. In contrast, students who used social media scored 20 points less on math tests.
