This novel tells about how life in March family, about the four girls left by their father to serve as a warring soldier. The March family used to be a fairly well-to-do family, but their conditions changed so that the family had to live a modest life. Her mother works every day, as well as the two oldest girls. Meg works as a teacher in the King's family, while Jo becomes her aunt's aunt, Aunt March who has a poor personality. Meanwhile, Beth prefers to stay home and Amy goes to school every day.
The lives of these March girls changed as they ventured to get acquainted with their Jo-like neighbors. Theodore Laurence or often called Laurie. Laurie was a young man who originally lived in his own magnificent house, feeling lonely because he had no friends, and did not dare with his grandfather. Jo, the girl who generally has a male-like personality intends to pull Laurie out of her zones and join the March girls. Laurie agrees, and some time later becomes part of her life and adventure.
