Citizenship

From the story, the Australian deputy leader was disqualified from office because he had dual citizenship when he was elected. The Australian Constitution elects two eligible citizens because they are "subjects or citizens of foreign powers". The deputy leader said that the decision indicates Australia's Australian value. Many Australians believe the law of dual citizenship must change. About 28 percent of Australians are born overseas. Many have a family history that entitles two nationalities.
