Frequent usage and easy access of these applications can also trigger individual fears for content loss when not accessing this app. By using a sample of 270 participants, a model structural equations were analyzed to investigate the role of psychopathological symptoms and fears for loss of hope in the application of Internet communication in the development of symptoms of internet communication disorders. The results indicate that psychopathological symptoms predict a higher fear for loss of indivi communication dual individual applications and higher expectations for using this app as a tool to escape negative feelings. This specific cognition mediates the effects of psychopathological symptoms on communication disorders as they show how Internet-related cognitive biases mediate the relationship between a person's core characteristics (eg psychopathological symptoms ) and internet communication disruptions. However, further research should investigate the role of fear for loss of certain predispositions, such as as well as specific cognition in the online context.
