Reading behavior of emmetropic schoolchildren in China
This article discusses the behavior of children while reading. reading positions can help us understand how closely the job affects the reader's eyes, comfort, read efficiency, pleasure, and the ability to learn to read. they design a methodology in reading. Children from grades 2 through 5 read text in armchairs, on tables, and while reading and writing on tables with three different letter sizes. Their preferred reading distance is very close to the eye, averaging 28.5 ± 6.4 cm in an armchair, 25.4 ± 6.6 cm at the work table and 20.6 ± 6.5 cm in a reading / writing task , and always a little closer to the smallest font. The average second grader has only a reading distance of 16.3 ± 4.1 cm in the read / write task. The slope of the head and the viewing angle is changed by the reading and letter size conditions. The fastest reading speeds on the desk and for those who have longer reading distances and, surprisingly, for the smallest font size.
