Bird Eggs

Scientists believe why bird eggs are different in shape. A new study from Princeton University in the US shows that the egg shape depends on how well and how fast the female bird flies.
Professor Stoddard and his colleagues created a mathematical formula to map different egg shapes. They saw nearly 50,000 eggs from 1,400 different bird species. They also see how the egg oval. The researchers found that birds that lay the most oval eggs are the best flyers.
