The use of antibiotics in agriculture makes insects stronger and our medicines weaker, so it can be harmful to public health. Farmers should give fewer antibiotics to their animals so that life-saving drugs can work well.
Head of research says that it is very difficult if animals have more antibiotics than humans, because this means a big risk. People can get sick if they eat rare or under cooked meat, therefore we need to make sure that they cook meat properly. We must also know where the flesh comes from.
