SYSTEM TO CONTROL EARLY CHILDHOOD CARIES.
Dental caries is one of the
diseases that can damage health and tooth structure. This disease can make the
sufferer feel pain and if never handled, will be able to cause death. Now, this
disease has spread all over the world. For that, need to know how to handle it.
this is caused by the presence of bacteria in the mouth is a normal thing.
Bacteria can change all foods, especially sugar, to acid. Bacteria, acids, food
waste, and saliva will form a sticky layer attached to the tooth surface. This
sticky layer is called plaque. Plaque will form 20 minutes after eating. The
acid in the plaque will cause the hard tissue of the tooth to dissolve and
there will be caries. The most important bacteria responsible for causing
caries is Streptococcus mutans.
Caries is characterized by a hole
in the hard tissues of teeth, may be brown or black. The perforated teeth
usually do not hurt until the hole grows larger and affects the roles of
the tooth. In caries is quite deep, usually complaints that are often felt by
the patient is a sense of pain when the tooth is exposed to hot, cold, or sweet
stimuli. To avoid it you can do flossing once a day to remove plaque and food
scraps that stuck between the teeth. Avoid foods that are too sweet and sticky,
also reduce drinking sweet drinks like soda. Make regular visits to the dentist
every 6 months.
