     This article is about the relationship between reading comprehension strategies used and daily free reading time. In this article to conduct research that aims to determine the relationship between the use of reading comprehension strategies and daily free reading time among grade 4 and 5 students.
The research method used is descriptive method. Descriptive method is used to identify the situation. The study was conducted in grades 4 and 5 students of basic education to examine the relationship between the use of reading comprehension strategies and day-to-day activities earmarked for free reading.
The results obtained in this study, there is a linear mid-level relationship in the positive direction between the use of reading strategy and the reading of day-to-day.
 The following suggestions may be based on the findings of this study:
1. In this study, one variable that influences the use of reading comprehension strategies of students examined.
2. Students should try and allocate time to read during the day.
