this story is the story of the blind Marie-Laure and a German engineer named Werner Pfennig. Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where her father works and he is assigned to preserve the precious diamond of "Sea of Flames" .Marie-Laure becomes blind When he is 6 years old, and his father builds a miniature of the surrounding environment he can remember everything by touching and exploring the way home. When the Nazis invaded France in 1940, Marie-Laure escaped with his father to Saint-Malo to protect himself and save the diamonds that Germany sought. Meanwhile in a mining town in Germany, an orphan named Werner grew up with his younger sister and he was fascinated with the radio they found. Werner became an expert in installing and repairing all electronic instruments. The story begins in 1944 when Werner was sent by German troops to Saint-Malo. This encounter brought a strong bond and made Werner compelled to save Marie-Laure's life from the pursuit of Nazi soldiers.
