New plants can produce light in the dark
Scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States are trying to create plants that glow in the dark. they hope that this lighting can replace electric lights. Professor Michael Strano said: "The vision is to create a plant that will serve as a table lamp - a lamp you do not need to plug in. The light is ultimately supported by the metabolism of the plant's energy itself." I think this is a brilliant idea. I hope this idea works because natural lighting is better than having to use electrical energy that costs more than this.
