The scientists report in a journal studying ants in Spain. They say that ants can travel away from their nests even when there are things that block them or if they have to drag heavy food. The professor said: "The ants have small brains, but they can succeed in many difficult conditions, including retreat." He says that understanding ants will help us build new robotic systems that can mimic ant behavior.
