" History writing & Wikipedia"

This article explains how wikipedia articles on the same topic compare all languages? Previous wikipedia articles in research writing have examined the practice of revision, building ethos, its potential and shortcomings on wikipedia. The project analyzes the three rhetorical aspects (the introduction, the organizing of the articles by means of a table of contents, and the use of sources and quotes) from the article "The Hirosima and Nagasaki Atomic Bomb" because it has been compiled in six language differences; English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. An important finding is that introductions and table of contents have important similarities but some differences are also important, and the practice of quotations is largely dominated by English sources in 6 different language versions. Finally, a case is made for the pedagogical purposes of cross-language comparison of wikipedia.
