New research from Cambridge University says that the British can cut their calories by 16 percent, while Americans get up to 29 percent for over-eat people in a simple and easy way using smaller plates, knives, forks and glasses. This is not a diet. Many people use their dishes as a guide. If they use large plates, they fill them with food, this means they eat too much.

Dr Gareth Hollands says it is wrong to think that people who eat too much do not have self-control. Restaurants and shops can help people to stop overeating by using smaller plates. People should also do this at home because this is a good way to help many people stop eating too much.
