The number of unemployed youth worldwide is very high, especially in Asia, the Middle East and Brazil. More than 73 million children aged 15-24 want to work but can not find work. In China, 10.6 percent last year and rose to 11.1 percent by 2016. In Brazil, that figure is up 2 percent this year.

It is very difficult to be young and start in the labor market today. The highest youth unemployment rate is for women in the Middle East, which is about 45 percent. One of the major reasons for youth unemployment is the global financial collapse of 2008. Youth unemployment not only affects the economy but also affects the health, peace and happiness of people.
