Title : Promoting Extensive Reading among Chinese Students
Learning Thai as a Foreign Language

This article discusses the reading ability of Chinese
students after being assigned to read Thai texts for outdoor enjoyment
for one semester. The sample of the study was chosen
purposively from 44 Chinese students applying for Thai. course reading at a university in Thailand in the
academic year 2010, second semester.
Test method based on :
1.Instruments, consisted of reading comprehension
2.Extensive reading activities,
3. Data Collection and Analysis
Data collection from students
pre- and post-test speed reading and supervision of
reading comprehension and teacher interviews
readings and student progress.
Quantitative analysis results show
Students who read more pages perform better in terms of
their speed and reading.
Dri this article I learned that this Study is held with
the aim to improve Chinese students learn Thai language and provide interesting
book according to reader language level, so reader becomes easier in
comprehending Thai language.
