Soft Fruits
Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, currants, gooseberries,
blueberries, cranberries, elderberries, and other plants that produce fruit on
bushes or low-growing vines are referred to as ‘soft fruits.’ This
categorization is artificial as there are several different botanical types of
fruits that belong to this category, including true berries, accessory, and
aggregate fruits. Several plant families have species that produce ‘soft
fruits’ and include low-growing vines, herbaceous perennials, bushes, and
plants with biennial-fruiting canes; most originated in the north temperate
regions of the world
Different soft fruit crops are often grown on the
same farm because they typically have short harvest seasons, the fruit is
highly perishable, and harvesting for fresh market is done by hand; so labor,
storage, and marketing strategies can be the same for all of them. Soft fruits
have a very high value in the marketplace and are the foundation of many family
farms. Soft fruits are also processed into jams, jellies, juices, and wine and
used for sweet desserts. Every people likes this fruits especially the
childrens because this fruit make all of people interesting.
