The purpose of sleep.
Sleep serves multiple purposes that are essential to your brain and body.
1.       Restoration.
Your brain accumulatees metabolic waste as it goes about its normal neural activities.
2.       Memory consolidation.
The process that maintains and strengthens your long-term memories.
3.       Paramount for metabolic health.

Insufficient sleep or abnormal sleep can lead to insulin insensitivity and metabolic syndrome.
