The scientist found a toxic coctail on Mars. It can kill any living thing. Mars also has no ozone layer. it means that there are high levels of ultra violet radiation. This mixes with the chemicals and makes it impossible for anything to grow on Mars. The surface of Mars also highly harmful caused by a toxic coctail of chemicals and UV's radiation.
