The tomato was due for more controvercy. Tomato is fruit or vegetable. Actually tomatoes are a fruit. But in America, tomatoes are a vegetable by law. How can? Because there was no import tax on fruit from other countries. But there was an import tax on vegetables. The government also made tomatoes a vegetable by law, so that non America tomatoes would be taxed.
In the other way, it’s easy to tell that tomatoe is really a fruit. Tomatoes are similar to berries. Both of them have seeds inside, and grow from the flowersof a plant. Tomatoes and berries are actually in the same family.
