This article reviewing the gender stereotype of the textbooks for young learners. The result from the investigation showed that in the textbooks of young learners male characters are more dominant than the female characters, and the male characters being more active than female characters.

The result of the investigations are :
·         Gender awareness is crucial for children’s' formation of gender roles.
·         Gender stereotypes can be decoded in illustrations.
·         Gender stereotypes can be seen in the number of female and male characters and their roles (active and
·         passive).
·         All textbooks present male characters as more active.

From the this article we can learn that the textbook should be improve and we should reduce even delete the gender  stereotype of the textbooks for young learners. So, the female young learners will more interested and get their role as much as what the male get and they became more active.
