This novel is about a story of a young man,Tom Smith. He was a good man, but he did not has a job. It was so difficult for him to find a job. He had looked for a job for a long time. he was good in sports. But many people better than him. Sometime he had an idea to work in a sport shop, but it was just an idea. Every day, he read newspapers and wrote letters for job, but he had not got answer from all of them.

One day, there is a fair in the town, and he wanted to go there because the cost of the fair was not expensive. He played some games there and he got many things from the games. After played the games, he take a rest and ate ice cream. Then he thought about what he would do next. Then he saw a newspaper about an old woman that could see the future. He thought about it and he went to the old woman.

Afterwards, the old woman told him that he should not go anywhere on the next Friday. Then he was not worry about anything because he thought that he had nothing to do at Friday. But, on Thursday, he heard a news that one of the sport shop that he applied for job replied hi letter and he should go there on the next day. He was very happy, but suddenly, he remember about what the old woman said in the fair before. He was so confused. But he decided to go to the shop because he really need the job. Because the shop was so far from his house, he should take a train to go there. In the train, he  met a kind old man and be friend with him.

In the middle of his trip, the train was stopped. The passengers of the train were very confused about what happened. Then, Tom talked to his old friend that he would ask the train guard about the situation. The train guard said that there is a big tree in the middle of the rail and they could not move it, so the journey was end. All  of the passengers should went out from the train and went to the village near there. Tom was very sad, but he could not do anything.  He helped his old friend out from the train, and he also help him to carry his bag. The old man was very happy to know Tom.

When they took a rest, Tom’s face was so sad, then the old man asked him about what happened. Tom told him about his story, but the old man laughed then. Tom was angry to the man. The old man realized it, then he told Tom than he was an owners of some big sport shops, and he was looking for an intelligent man to work in one of his biggest shop. He asked Tom to work with him because he knew that tom was a kind man. Tom was very happy, that was a very wonderful day for him.

I like this story, it was so good and interesting. From this story, I can learn that I should always be kind to others and never give up to get what I want.
