This story is about a man that did not feel confident about him self. He had no friends. He was always afraid about many things. He was an unhappy man. At that time, there was a war between his country and the other country. He decided to became a soldier. After a war, he had two days holiday. He walked around the street alone. There, he saw an old man in the side of the street. He was curious about the man, why he kept staying there if the road did not very crowded. Then he looked at the man again, he knew that the man could not see. Then he helped him. The old man knew that he was a soldier after he hold his coat. Then, the old man gave him a charm and said that it would help him to always be alright.

When the man got back to his soldier activities, a war started. He remember the charm from the old man, and he took it with him. Suddenly, he did not feel afraid anymore.  He follow the leader of his team in the war. When the leader was down, he took him to a better place and he was asked by his leader to lead his team replacing his position. He did what his leader said, then his team could win the war and he became the leader too.

On the next war, he and his team was facing a very terrible enemies. His team was very afraid and thought that they would died. Then, he said to his team to do not be afraid. He would lead them until they win the war. Afterwards, he looked for the charm, but he did not find it. He looked at his men, and saw that they were not afraid because of what he said before. He had helped his men. Then, he kept in his mind that he should not be afraid too, because he was the leader of his team. Then, he and his team could win the war, although many people of his team were died.

After the war, he realized that a brave man did not always be brave and often be afraid, but it will not stop him. He just need to face his problem and do not avoid it. He thanked to the old man that had given him the charm.the old man was right. The charm could helped him.

I like this story. I teaches me how to be brave. It is so motivating.
