"What is the role for collaboration in writing and writing feedback"

a study shows that collaborative writing provides an opportunity for learners to learn through discussion of the language they use. They explore the findings of studies that have examined the influence of students working in pairs / small groups in writing assignments, the extent to which work is predominantly in pairs, and receiving backsliding of their writing in pairs can improve language learning opportunities through their ability to improve mutual contributions and knowledge of each. They argue that learners who work on writing activities in pairs can improve learning by providing opportunities for second language discussions.
