'Methods and methodologies in second language writting research'
With increasing numbers of teachers and scolars turning to investigation writing in their classroom or course of futher study, a considerable varity of methods has been used to understand the complex, mutifaced nature of L2 (second language) writing.
This methods themselves raise questions regarding what we beliefs writing is and about our interpretive practices. It is important to be aware of what our choices imply about our understanding of what writing is and how it can be known. In this article set out the approaches go on to situation these methods within the main theories about writing arguing that methods are not neutral options but allow us to see certain things but not other.
