"The Knowledge"

Over 20.000 people in London have taken a special test called 'The Knowledge'. Drivers of special black taxis in London who need to take this test. Drivers study from 2-4 years to learn the necessary ins and outs of city London. With its 25.000 streets and 1.400 landmarks, they also must know which routes are the fastest at any given time. Their lack of interest in GPS to finding their way. But, so far few taxi drivers have gotten a GPS receiver. As one drivers says if there's nothing better than the knowledge...the computer won't take traffict into account. Londin taxi drivers are proud of their skill and drivers find that they have better memories.
