From the news I read about Israel has approved a bill to make the mosque more calm. If the law becomes law, Israeli mosques will not be able to use loudspeakers during the call to prayer. The call to prayer takes place five times a day. First time at dawn and the last one is after sunset. Israeli Prime Minister backs the bill. He said: "Israel is committed to religious freedom, but it also has to protect people from noise announcements." An Arab politician says that the bill is, "another law in a series of racist laws ... which only aims to create an atmosphere of hatred ... against Arab society". Another critic says that the bill will, "create a commotion that will harm the whole community and attempt to build [harmony] between Jews and Arabs". The Arabs make up about 20 percent of the population of Israel, while the Jews make up about 75 percent.
