This text is about dirt for babies. Dr. Jack Gilbert did a research of how dirt affects children. He said that letting children get dirty was good. It could help them to build their immune system. We know that parents always want to make sure that their babies always clean and they clean everything that their children used. It is not good for children. It could make the children’s immune system weaker, and it may cause asthma and food allergies. Gilbert said that the “five-second rule” is OK. This is when you eat something that fell on the floor for fewer that five seconds. It is OK as long as the floor is not too dirty.
So, dare to be dirt is good for children. Now, we can let the children get more experiences with their natural activities, but we should always pay attention to them.
