(206) 29th Article : Leishmaniasis as an Emerging Infection

Leishmaniasis is a diverse protozoal disease of clinical and pathological manifestations. The increasing incidence of travel and co-infection with Leishmania and HIV over the past two decades has focused more on leishmaniasis. It is hoped that this attention will lead to better therapeutic agents to treat, and a vaccine to prevent, this newly occurring infection.
