Once upon a time, there was a small family in Lapaz, Mexico. The family consists of Kino, her wife is Juana, and their son is Coyotito. They were lived peacefully near the beach. One day, at the time of Kino stared of his baby in the midnight, he suddenly shocked. There was a scorpion over the Coyotito's blanket. Kino and Juana do not know how to throw away the scorpion. They choosed to throw away the scorpion silently. But it's late, the scorpion have already stung on Coyotito's hand. The screams with pain of the baby, brought all the neighbours came to their brush house.
The neighbours said that Kino and Juana must bring Coyotito's to the doctor house, as soon as possible. But the doctor do not want to cure the baby because of Kino and Juana have no money to pay the treatment. They were very sad and decided to go to the beach. They decided to search pearl under the sea. Accidently, Kino was found big Oysterm and when he opened it, there was a big pearl in it. They said that it is a big pearl of the world.
There were so many dreams that were in Kino's mind after he found the big pearl. He wanted to see Coyotito go to school and wore good clothes and many more. But the pearl become an evil for their family. Many people wanted to have it. There were some trouble came. There was a man burnt their brush houses, and there was people broke their canoes. In the end of their struggle to safe the pearl, there were people killed their baby. It was very sadness moment to Kino's family. They did not know how could they described their feeling. Kino and Juana lost everything that the most important to their life. After that, Kino and Juana decided to throw away the pearl back into the sea. They hoped that there were no trouble anymore would come to their family.
