People hate phone calls from companies that try to sell something to them. They are also called 'phone interruptions' or 'cold calls'. The British government wants to stop them in the future, cold callers can get a fine of up to $ 720,000.

About 75% of people in the UK get cold calls monthly. The number of people who got it on their phones increased 20 percent in two years. One company made 40 million cold calls in three months. UK data protection minister said: "There is no simple solution to this problem." He says making companies show their phone numbers will help people take action. He added that the call was disturbing and caused some people to suffer.
