This article discusses a study comparing the use of L1-English and L1-Chinese scholars to identify the most common errors in writing from lexical compounds in an English argumentative essay. They compare the form and function of a set of four words. The findings show that students not only make mistakes in L2 shentences consisting of many nouns and preposition phrases, but juha is a misunderstanding in essay writing related to grammatical errors, especially with articles and prepositions.
