From the text I read about the UAE has introduced legislation to get people to read more. The law covers many actions to achieve a higher literacy rate. Government workers will have time during working hours to read books. This library will be easy to use for people with reading skills. Even cafes must offer books and other reading materials to their customers. The UAE National Reading Law is the idea of President Sheikh Khalifa. It also aims for students to read an average of 20 books or more books a year. The UAE Minister of Education said that the new law is: "A roadmap to build a readable, civilized society that is capable of change, and a world leader in development." A university president said that books and libraries still have a place in society, even in the Internet age.
