Christmas Card Show Nativity in War Zone
From the text I read about The Doctors of the World charity has released several Christmas cards with a difference. The nonprofit organization sells four cards featuring traditional Christmas landscapes from the Holy Land with images of wars in Syria. The charity wants to make people aware of the suffering that is happening in the world, especially in Syria. One card shows Mary and Joseph on a donkey in the war-ravaged Syria. The charity explains that: "Instead of making a religious statement, these images are trying to remind people that this year's war has forced millions from their homes" Money from the card will buy medicines and medical equipment for people in Syria and other conflict areas. The United Nations estimates that 65 million people have fled their homes due to violence and war.
