"English-language writing instruction in Iran"
The present study is an attempt to investigating the effect of unified materials development on Iranian EFL learners’ academic writing. The participants of the study were 85 Iranian Advanced EFL learners in not-for-profit higher education institute of Noor (4 groups). Three groups instructed through a paragraph writing development syllabus (16 sessions). However, the experimental group was tested through unified materials development. The collected data were analyzed using ANOVA procedures. The results of both tests of the group instructed through unified materials development indicated that there was significant positive correlation among post-test scores of learners. Finally, pedagogically implications and suggestions are presented for teachers to teach academic writing in advanced levels.
