I have gained interest in child abuse research has grown in the last two decades. This method may be problematic because it often requires conscious awareness, generating socially desirable responses to accurate responses or can be biased by unrealistic expectations of others, misattributions and perceptual errors. Exploring cognition and emotional parenting may be an important contribution to explaining the habit of parenting and neglecting children.

In this paper we review research on child molestation and ignore implicit action. The study reviews the importance of assessing parental representation in parent-child interactions and analyzing the differences between maltreating and non-maltreating parents. In particular, physically abusive parents tend to show more difficulty in recognizing children's emotions, revealing more biases in their perceptions and attributions of children and behaving more aggressively. Further research with unfortunate parents, which is negligent, using implicit action is still needed.
