45th ( free reading ) - What is Love ?

Love can be interpreted as a deeply affectionate emotion or a romantic attachement of a person. At the philosophical level, love is a strong feeling or virtue that represents all the goodness, compassion, and human affection. For some religions, like Catholics, "God is love". God's love is also attached to other religions like Islam. The word of love may refer to different feelings, circumstances, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I love the food") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my partner "). "Love" can also refer specifically to the desires and intimacy of romantic love, sexual love, the emotional closeness of family love, or platonic love that defines friendship, to the deep unity or devotion of religious love. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of feelings involved, makes love extremely difficult to define consistently, even compared to other emotional states. However, love in its various forms acts as the main facilitator of interpersonal relations and, because of its main psychological interest, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.
