Life  on Mars

From news I read about Life on Mars Scientists have discovered something new about the environment on Mars. They found a "toxic cocktail" of chemicals that would kill any living thing. Chemicals are on the surface of the Red Planet. Scientists say the discovery of chemicals means an opportunity to find life on Mars lower. Scientists are astrobiologists - they study places in the universe that may support life. Mars does not have an ozone layer, which means there is high levels of ultra-violet (UV) radiation. When chemicals mix with UV light, the mixture kills living things 11 times faster. Scientists say: "Our findings show that the surface of Mars is highly [harmful] to the cells, caused by toxic cocktails of [chemicals] and UV radiation." They say their research is proof that land on Mars is deadly to plant life types. They say that chemicals and UV rays make, "most of the surface and surface near its surface are uninhabitable".
