41"Free Reading" Dirt and Babies"

Dirt and Babies
From the text I read about Dirt and Baby It seems reasonable for parents to make sure their baby is in a clean place. Dr. Jack Gilbert studied bacteria. He examines how dirt and bacteria affect children. He published his research in a book entitled 'Dirt is Good: The Benefits of Germs for Your Developing Immune System'. He said: "It's okay to wash your hands if there's a ... flu virus going on .... but if a dog licks their face, that's not a bad thing." Dr. Gilbert says letting children get dirty is very useful. Land helps small children build their immune system. Gilbert said children often get allergies because parents try too hard to clean up everything the kids use. He said parents are now sterilizing everything in the house too much.
