I think it is known that children with mental and developmental problems are at risk of abuse and neglect. Attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents. The purpose of this study was to examine whether children diagnosed with ADHD were more at risk in terms of child abuse and neglect than controls. The Abuse Assessment Questionnaire is applied to children after family approval is received. It is known that children diagnosed with ADHD exposed to physical abuse and emotional abuse are physically statistically significant compared to controls, they are exposed to physical and emotional neglect. At a lower rate than healthy children, and there is no difference between them and healthy children in terms of witnessing family violence and exposure to sexual abuse. Children diagnosed with ADHD are exposed to higher levels of physical and emotional abuse; Further studies should emphasize the role of parents in this topic and how parents' education and treatment programs change the outcome.
